Hello, my name is Marissa Devlin. I am a TEFL-certified teacher and originally from Milton, Massachusetts, a small town outside of Boston. I have taught in many different settings; most recently, I was teaching a children’s class as part of a literacy program in Boston. There I taught children to read and write as well as assisted with homework assignments and provided fun, educational activities for the children every day. Additionally, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University in Canada. I focused my degree in early childhood and adolescent development. I have worked with children throughout my life; it is a rewarding experience to see them grow over the course of a year. In my classroom, I implement a variety of techniques aimed at creating a healthy, cooperative learning environment in which students learn from me, but also share their knowledge and experiences with each other. I am very excited to meet and teach all of the wonderful kids at DEP!
